    Lovely setting with fantastic view of the country side. Hotel beautiful and staff very friendly and helpful. Evening meal was well presented and tasted excellent, size of portion was more than enough.

    I've stayed here a few times before. But this time I booked a couple of hotel rooms and I was running a small training event. The hotel is beautiful. Nothing is too much trouble for staff. The rooms are lovely. Breakfast was great. My training course went fantastically well - smooth. No bland buffet, everything was fresh and looked tasty.

    Where do I start, a lovely very impressive building with friendly warm welcoming staff. We stayed for my partners 50th, we were treated to the upgraded apartments and WOW they are stunning , clean and very modern. We had two lovely large bedrooms both with en-suite, a warm living room with kitchen and dinning areas on onsite parking.

    Lovely place to stay. Great views from the front and situated just outside Penrith. The room was clean, spacious and a little step back in time. Bar is well stocked and the staff are great. Plenty of parking. All in all a thumbs up from us.

    We have just celebrated our wedding at the Roundthorn last week, and we could not have made a better decision making this choice as our wedding venue ... a great selection of food and beverages at exceptionally competitive prices, staff could not be more helpful and attentive to all our needs, we could really not wish for more for our most special day.
