“I cant recommend The Roundthorn Country House enough from the first viewing of the venue we knew this was our venue. Anouska and Collette are so welcoming and professional as are all the staff at the Roundthorn. Nothing seemed too much and made what could have been the most stressful time of our lives effortless and enjoyable! Leading up to our big day Collette and Anouska would often check in on me and answer any questions I had. We went for a taster day and the food was amazing and this was no exception on our wedding day too which all our guests agreed they especially loved being able to chose from a starter and desert on the day. Our day could not have been better the whole team at Roundthorn made it perfect all my guests could not compliment the staff enough. The Roundthorn itself just has an amazing homely feeling to it, it is the perfect most gorgeous venue with the outside and inside options of ceremony both being beautiful. The grounds are amazing and the rooms were all perfect for our guests. The apartments were a big hit and meant we could make a full weekend of our big day. The Roundthorn won wedding venue of the year for Cumbria a week before our wedding and we are not surprised. We cant wait to visit for our anniversaries and only wish we could do it all again!”
