10 reasons to work in hospitality: –
- You make people’s day! – Every time you come to work, you’re making someone’s day a little bit better! Hospitality is all about making people happy, not boring spreadsheets!
- It’s creative – As well as being people focused, hospitality is creative. You are creating a product, whether it be food, a drink or an experience. There is always a way to make it more enjoyable for the guests.
- It opens a door to the world – All the skills you learn can be used anywhere in the world making getting a job in new places easier, while you can be experiencing different countries, cultures & people!
- You won’t get stuck – There is such an enormous range of opportunities within hospitality that there is never a need to be stuck in one role. You can easily stay with the same employer while moving around different departments, where else can you do that?
- There are always promotions – You can move up the ladder very quickly in this industry. If you work hard, show initiative, and work well in the team you could soon have a senior role managing your own team & projects! Just ask some of our staff.
- Not 9-5 – if you prefer a lie in on a Monday morning, instead of the same old boring routine then hospitality is for you! No day is ever the same, not only do your hours vary but the work you do within them does too!
- It’s versatile–There are so many easy ways to achieve qualifications in hospitality both on and off the job. These qualifications go with you were ever you go and are relevant to lots of other industries.
- Exciting perks – Never mind a boring office party, we get to help our customers have fun while we have fun too and where else would you get to rub shoulders with celebrities and sample gourmet meals!
- Great atmosphere – We only hire friendly people, so realistically you are going to get on with most of them. Colleagues turn into friends that you will keep for life! We actually enjoy coming to work, isn’t that half the battle!
- It’s a safe bet! – People always need food, drink and somewhere to stay, don’t they? (Pandemic pending!)
